Courts are very simple to mark out and all that is required is a wall and some paint. Three court sizes mean that all wall sizes are suitable. Once the courts are marked out, pupils only need a tennis ball to start playing. The rules are very simple and can be picked up easily at the beginning of lessons.

The City Fives Association’s aim is to promote Fives and support teachers to introduce Fives to their schools.
In order to help achieve this the website will contain a knowledge bank, full of lesson plans and coaching ideas to help improve lessons for you and your pupils.

The CFA runs regular coaching courses for teachers. They are intended to provide staff with more information about the benefits of Fives, help them learn more about the sport and get basic coaching ideas for use in lessons and for after-school clubs.

The CFA’s aim is to work with all the schools in a Sports Partnership and provide them with a common sport that they can all play regardless of space and cost.
To take advantage of all the services that the CFA offers, schools are encouraged to join the association at no charge on an annual basis.
